RESEARCH

The PLUS Program is a researched based approach in education. PLUS effectiveness is embedded in the research that has been implemented on Peer Educator Programs.

Some recent studies by the University of Southern California on adolescent substance abuse behaviors, found that when curriculum was delivered by peer educators, 15 percent more of the sample population abstained from substance abuse than those samples who were taught by an adult.

Although there has not been a formal evaluation implemented on the PLUS Program model, there has been some informal research implemented at school site levels.
